FOR THE LADIES: Bliss Lau Body Jewelry

Friday, March 5th, 2010

If you had to say one thing about living in Hawaii,  it would have to be that it possesses a massive amount of inspiration. From the weird exotic fruits to huge waves, plate lunches to black sand beaches, there’s so much to discover and explore.

When one thinks of Hawaiian inspired jewelry the first thing that comes to mind for most are pearls, puka shells, and kukui nut necklaces. Sexy body jewelry, not so much.

Bliss Lau was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and trained at the prestigious Parson’s School of Design in  NYC. She started making gorgeous handbags that are reminiscent of seashells and you can feel and see the strong Hawaiian inspiration. She transitioned to body jewelry and pioneered the trend which led to many copies after her.

“Guru is resting and doing well after his surgery,” he said. “The doctors say that he will fully recover from his illness. We thank everyone who send prayers our way and we appreciate the outpouring of love from around the world.”
