Los Angeles- The folks at Bassrush are coming back with a vengeance in 2012 and they helped kick off the upcoming year of seriously bad ass events by partnering up with the team from LA Beatdown to bring NERO UK to the Music Box Theater for 2 SOLD OUT shows Dec 22nd and 23rd.
If the latest album (and the promo video from back in June) are any indicators of what someone can expect at their live show, suffice to say that this had to be one of the best shows of 2011, up there with Amon Tobin’s ISAM Live tour, which was a personal fave of mine!

San Francisco- Tonight the streets are going to be shaking from the return of the Formation Records camp and Compression SF’s WODNB Sessions at Club Six.
The lineup is not the full on WODNB experience, but with SS, Bailey and Rollz alongside SF’s own badboy DJ’s 2Cents, Lukeino, Sharp, and The Heights and Colonel MC holding down the mic duties, Club Six will be throbbin’ well past closing time (4AM that is…)!

See everyone down there!

San Francisco- One of the city’s longest running weekly DnB events, Shelter, is kicking off November by bringing DJ Squake up from down south in Nashville TN, along with local support from DJ Sharp (Compression SF) and I’ll be handling mic duties for the evening.
Squake originally came up in San Diego but moved out to Tennessee back in 2005 and in ’08, he teamed up with Hunter of Legion to start the “Represent” Drum & Bass weekly in Nashville. In the Summer of 09′, Squake launched his weekly show “Represent Radio” on Bassdrive, which he hosts every Friday from 5-7PM CST.
While he spends most of his time doing A&R and Design, he has been busy in the studio working on his Debut EP since being signed to the Sine Language imprint back in 2009.
Look for Squake to step up onto the decks around Midnight.

With Local Support from:

San Diego- OK, normally we like to write something that helps events that we cover shine a bit brighter than where we get the info from, but in this case, JUST LOOK AT LINEUP THEY’RE BRINGING OUT IN JULY!
Big bad bass slinger Sam XL and the Pure Filth family have hooked up with Basslink to bring the Pure Filth Soundsystem to SD, which for those of you that don’t know, this means BASS that will shake you down to the bone gristle and leave dancefloors covered with sweat & ceiling crumbs.
Holy smokes San Diego, hope you’re ready for heads to pop like ants eating cayenne pepper!

Los Angeles- West Coast DnB soulmen Lukeino & Calculon have been really making a name for themselves as of lately, with a slew of their tunes getting love around the world and heavy rotation in sets from coast to coast.
These guys will be invading LA tonight at Little Temple and based on some of the sets that we’ve heard from them lately, Los Angeles is in for an awesome night of deep, soulful DnB and plenty of energy to keep the floor moving all night!
